As the northern part of the world inches towards Winter there is a trend beginning to emerge that I am seriously loving. Velvet, in particular velvet pants, has featured on the catwalks of some of the most elite brands; Balmain, Gucci & Isabel Marant – just to name a few.
I myself am drawn to the a trouser style cut and, like the Balmain trousers I used in this set, the bigger the flare the better. I prefer to keep the rest of the outfit crisp & clean but the velvet texture lends itself well to hippy/boho looks as well (perfect for Aussies who want to rock this look through Summer). D

So I’ve been Facestalking this brand for a little while now and I’m psyched to finally share them with you.
In their own words HypoxicAndLost is “Handmade Limited edition and one-off pieces. Distressed…studded…low backs…leather….denim….mini…sexy feminine…fun. …handmade in Australia.” so you can see why I’m smitten; they do all my favourite things!!
This set they posted earlier today (skirt & crop top by HypoxicAndLost) is an excellent example of their style and a great ‘how-to’ for rocking the neon trend
I seriously recommend you go ‘like’ their page – where you can purchase direct from their posts. D

So I postponed this post until today, cause its Friday and I’m get to go out and party like its the Shortest Day of the Year.
I have completely fallen in love with these Jeffrey Campbell ‘Damsel’ Wedges in Camo (available from karmaloop.com
), and, as today makes the unofficial start of Winter here, I will now be living in blue jeans and jumpers.
Kirsten Stewart; you are the official mascot of my Winter as I will be adopting a permanent sneer and flipping the bird to every snowflake I see.
I’m off to the bar.. D
Aside from the legendary Litas, the Damsel & Vicious are two of the hottest & most popular Jeffrey Campbell styles available right now through Sole Struck;
The Vicious – inspired by Sid Vicious of Sex Pistols fame – is pretty amazing in silver/black, but also comes in a couple of black/pink combos and a very nasty looking acid green – these heels are real head-turners!
and the Damsel Spikes were awesome enough in black/silver but a new realease of colour combos have amped up the rock star factor to 100
